Dear patients and colleagues,
I'm Dr. Svetlana Chamoun, a double board-certified cardiologist with a passion for helping people live their healthiest lives.
As the Founder and President of CardioSeeds and host of the CardioSeeds podcast, I'm committed to improving health through lifestyle changes.
I'm also a Founding Chair of the Work-Life Balance and Cardiovascular Health subcommittee at the American College of Lifestyle Medicine (ACLM).
In my role as Co-Chair of the Cardiology group at ACLM, I work with other organizations to promote Lifestyle Medicine. I strongly believe that embracing healthy lifestyles can prevent, treat, and even reverse up to 85% of chronic diseases, including cardiometabolic disorders, cancers, inflammatory conditions, and the widespread burnout affecting over 70% of healthcare professionals.
The COVID-19 pandemic highlighted the critical need to focus on social determinants of health, mental health issues, and the underlying causes of chronic diseases. Motivated by the American Medical Association's call for value-based, burnout-free practices, I launched CardioSeeds.
At CardioSeeds, we provide RECLAIM, a program that incorporates Lifestyle Interventions and behavioral coaching to help reduce cardiovascular risk and alleviate burnout. Our services cater to patients and healthcare professionals, and our CardioSeeds podcast is dedicated to Lifestyle Medicine and burnout prevention.
We are committed to educating and advocating for a healthier population and a burnout-free healthcare system. CardioSeeds actively collaborates with medical and nursing schools, policymakers, technology companies, and hospital administrators to address social determinants of health, promote healthy lifestyle education, and tackle healthcare burnout.
As a devoted advocate, I enjoy volunteering to speak at podcasts, seminars, webinars, Grand Rounds, public lectures, and various events, sharing my insights on healthy lifestyles, nutrition, exercise, stress reduction, and mental health.
Feel free to reach out to us for more information about our services, a complimentary consultation, or to book a talk or podcast. Together, we can create a healthier future!

More than a professional association, The American College of Lifestyle Medicine (ACLM) is a galvanizing force for change. ACLM is comprised of members who are passionate about the urgent need to transform health and health care. Our organization addresses the need for quality, evidence-based education and certification in the clinical practice of lifestyle medicine.
Through development and promotion of educational events, tools, resources and campaigns designed to further the cause of lifestyle medicine, ACLM supports its members in their individual practices and in their collective desire to domestically and globally promote lifestyle medicine as the first treatment option for chronic disease, as opposed to a first option of treating symptoms and consequences with expensive, ever- increasing quantities of pills and procedures. ACLM members are united in their desire to identify and eradicate the root cause of chronic disease.
The founders of ACLM, back in 2004, were ahead of their time. What was seen previously as outside the scope of mainstream medicine is now widely viewed as the future of healthcare, as we shift from a fee-for-service to a value and outcome-based system of healthcare delivery. ACLM has a rapidly expanding membership base across the United States and around the globe. The value of lifestyle medicine is becoming recognized by all aspects of medical practice, with ACLM members representing the broad diversity of the medical profession and related fields that comprise effective practice models. Members include primary care physicians, specialists, researchers, professors, students, public spokespersons, hospital administrators, nutritionists, health coaches, public health professionals, and many others. As an independent medical professional association representing the diverse interests of all our members in the provision of lifestyle medicine education, practice support and advocacy, ACLM is not responsible to any religious, political or industry interest.
