The American College of Lifestyle Medicine (ACLM) is a leading force for health care transformation, dedicated to quality, evidence-based education and certification in lifestyle medicine. ACLM members are passionate about promoting lifestyle medicine as the primary treatment for chronic disease, focusing on root causes rather than symptom management with pills and procedures.
ACLM supports its members through educational events, tools, resources, and campaigns, helping them promote lifestyle medicine both domestically and globally. Members are united in their mission to address and eradicate the root causes of chronic disease.
The founders of ACLM, in 2004, were ahead of their time. What was once considered outside mainstream medicine is now seen as the future of healthcare, shifting from fee-for-service to value and outcome-based care. ACLM's rapidly expanding membership includes primary care physicians, specialists, researchers, professors, students, public spokespersons, hospital administrators, nutritionists, health coaches, public health professionals, and more. This diversity reflects the growing recognition of lifestyle medicine's value across medical practice. As an independent professional association, ACLM supports lifestyle medicine education, practice, and advocacy without ties to any religious, political, or industry interests.
